Karina & Jeff
I was first introduced to Karina and Jeff through the vibrant fitness community at Mvmt Hub Training Centre in O’Connor. Both Karina and Jeff possess a natural ability to uplift those around them with their infectious positivity and unwavering support. Whether it's through a simple gesture of kindness or a heartfelt conversation, they have a remarkable way of making everyone feel valued and cherished.
Karina is a beautiful old soul when it comes to music, and we connected instantly through our similar tastes. Jeff is a bit more relaxed and often drives in his car with no music.. weirdo 😜
Karina had their music ideas organised into a few different groups: Old School, New RnB, Sunday Seshin’, and Oldies. These categories catered to all guests, which I think is important to keep in mind when planning music for an event.
Their day was held at the picturesque Xanadu Winery in Margaret River. The weather was a little unpredictable, with a sprinkle of rain while I was setting up. However, a couple of hours later, the sun came out for the ceremony creating the perfect backdrop. As guests arrived they were welcomed with a glass of bubbles to enjoy during the ceremony, huge tick of approval if you want to get the party started straight away!
Emotions were high as Karina made her way down the aisle to Kina Grannis’s rendition of 'Can’t Help Falling in Love'. The song amplified the moment, and guests were visibly moved as Karina looked drop dead gorgeous, in her figure-hugging Grace Loves Lace dress 😍
Following the ceremony, guests mingled in a relaxed cocktail style, enjoying the delicious wine and canapés on offer. Meanwhile, Karina and Jeff headed off for a fun photo shoot with their bridal party and Ben and Laura from Swift Hound Weddings. The bridal party, consisting of Karina’s sister Kelly and Jeff’s brother Cameron, added to the lively atmosphere. Needless to say, they were all loved up and had a ball during their photo shoot.
MC Steve, a fellow member of Mvmt Hub, took the mic, captivating the guests with his charm and quirky sense of humour 🕺🏻 The celebration began with the flower girls leading the way, followed by Kelly & Cameron. Next, it was the newlyweds' turn to make their entrance and amaze their guests. They had a surprise choreographed first dance to “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen planned, which they nailed with ease.
The energetic beat of the song filled the air, Karina and Jeff took to the dance floor. Every step, spin, and dip was met with cheers and applause from the guests. Their first dance was a beautiful a celebration of their relationship. It embodied their fun-loving nature and the strong connection they share, setting the perfect tone for the rest of the evening. The atmosphere was filled with so much love and happiness, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone present.
Inspired by the energy and joy of the dance, everyone joined in for a boogie. The dance floor became a vibrant space of laughter, movement, making the night truly special for Karina, Jeff, and all their loved ones.
After a few heartfelt speeches, it was time for a special father-daughter dance to “The Wonder of You” by Elvis, a Favourite of Karina and her dad, Kevin. Seeing them dance hand in hand, singing along to the lyrics, was the cutest thing. Their smiles were infectious, and you could feel the deep bond between them. Big Kev twirled Karina around with pride in his eyes, and Karina’s face lit up with pure joy.
The dance floor filled yet again and came alive as Karina and her uncle took centerstage, recreating the iconic moves to “You Never Can Tell” by Chuck Berry.
Whilst the festivities continued in full swing, Jeff and a few close friends took a chance to step away from the bustling dance floor. Lighting their cigars, they took satisfying puffs, savouring the rich flavours. Cigars are a passion of Jeff's, and this cigar break was a moment of connection and celebration, a pause to acknowledge the joy and love that had filled the day. For Jeff, it was a experience that added a layer of depth and meaning to an already unforgettable occasion.
As the night came to a close, guests linked arms to another Elvis classic, ‘If I Can Dream’. With glasses of red wine in hand, they celebrated the beautiful newlyweds. Witnessing this unfold was a testament to the power of music and community to bring people together. Shared moments like this, set to the right soundtrack, can forge unforgettable memories and strengthen the bonds between those present.
Reflecting on this celebration, I am reminded of the importance of cherishing life's special moments and surrounding yourself with loved ones.
To my beautiful friends Karina and Jeff, cheers to you and the memories created on your wedding day 🥹 I look forward to many more special moments we will share in the future, filled with love and laughter ♥️
